Abstract:
To provide an electrolyte for a battery capable of keeping high conductivity even at low temperature.
A lithium salt is dissolved in a nonaqueous solvent containing ethylene carbonate, propylene carbonate, and butyrolactone comprising β- butyrolactone or γ-butyrolactone, and one selected from dimethoxyethane, dimethyl carbonate, and diethyl carbonate, and the content of β-butyrolactone is specified to 18 volume percent or less, and β-butyrolactone is to 17 volume percent or less. The volume ratio of ethylene carbonate, propylene carbonate, and one solvent selected from dimethoxyethane, dimethyl carbonate, and diethyl carbonate is specified to 1:1:1, and the content of butyrolactone is specified to 43 volume percent or less.
