PURPOSE: To obtain a lithium secondary battery having high energy density and long cycle life by using a mixture of LiPF6 and at least one of other lithium salts as the lithium salt and a mixed solvent containing propylene carbonate and ethylene carbonate as the organic solvent of a lithium battery.
CONSTITUTION: As a lithium salt, a mixture of LiPF6 and at least one of other lithium salts is used. As an organic solvent, a mixed solvent containing propylene carbonate and ethylene carbonate is used. As other lithium salts mixed with LiPF6, LiClO4 LiBF4, LiAlCl4, and CF3CO2Li are used. If a metal oxide is used as the positive, active material, use of LiClO4 is preferable. If a conductive polymer is used as the positive active material, use of LiBF4 is preferable. A lithium secondary battery having high energy density and long cycle life can be obtained.
