To provide an electrolyte sheet for a solid oxide fuel battery having a high strength average value and a high Weibull coefficient and stable mechanical strength characteristics to suppress interfacial peeling from the electrode electrolyte sheet by high adhesiveness with the electrode formed on the surface.
The electrolyte sheet for a solid oxide fuel battery has multiple concaves and/or convexes at least on one face. The basal surfaces of the concaves and convexes are circular, ellipse, or angled round polygonal (the shape of the summit part is a curve with a curvature radius 0.1 μm or more) and/or the solid shape is half spherical, half ellipse spherical or polyhedral (the sectional shapes of a summit and an edge are curves with a curvature radius of 0.1 μm or more). The diameter equivalent to the average circle of the basal surface of the concaves and the convexes is 0.5 μm or more and 250 μm or less, the average depth of the concaves and the average height of the convexes are 0.3 μm or more and 50 μm or less, and the average thickness is 100 μm or more and 400 μm or less.
