PURPOSE: To provide an electrolyte used for an electrolyzed water generator improved in the effects of skin recovery and skin care by minimizing the deposition of a solid material to a cathode and imparting the moisturizing effect for skin to an acidic water high in sterilization effect.

CONSTITUTION: Any one of a calcium salt, a magnesium salt or a mixture thereof and an organic acid are incorporated as the structural components in the electrolyte to be used. Concretely, the concentration of sum of one of the calcium salt, the magnesium salt or the mixture is 0.5-30mM/L and the concentration of sum of the organic acid is controlled to 0.1-8mM/L.
