Abstract:
PURPOSE:To manufacture 1-acyloxy-3,4-dialkoxy with a high selectivity, by electrolyzing 1,2-dialkoxy benzenes having C1-4 alkoxy radical in organic solvents, such as nitrile and amido or ketone etc., under the existence of organic carboxylic acids (salts). CONSTITUTION:1,2-Dialkoxy benzenes (for example; 1,2-dimethoxybenzene) having C1-4 alkoxy radical, is electrolyzed in nitriles, such as acetonitrile etc., or amids, such as N,N-dimethylformamide etc., or ketones, such as acetone etc. at the presence of organic carboxylic acids (salts), such as acetic acid (salt) etc., at the following condition, temperature; 10-100 deg.C (suitably 20-50 deg.C), current density; 5- 200mA/cm<2> (10-100mA/cm<2>). Concentration of raw material in reaction system is 0.05-2mol/l, and that of organic carboxylic acids (salts) is 0.2-30mol(0.5- 10mol) against 1mol of the raw material. Also, selectivity and current efficiency of oxidation product, is improved by electrolyzing using diaphragm.
