To provide electrolytic copper foil having increased tensile strength and electric conductivity, and to provide a lithium secondary battery with the electrolytic copper foil as a collector for a negative pole.
The electrolytic copper foil is characterized in that, in an observed image with a transmission electron microscope (TEM), the ratio of the area occupied by the crystal grains with a grain size of 5 to 25 nm to the area occupied by the crystal grains with a grain size of 200 to 500 nm is 1 to 5. Further, in the electrolytic copper foil, in an observed image with the transmission electron microscope (TEM), the ratio of the area occupied by the crystal grains other than the crystal grains with a grain size of 5 to 25 nm and the crystal grains with a grain size of 200 to 500 nm is 10% or lower of all the grains.
