Abstract:

To provide a method for efficiently dissolving platinum chemically stable and uneasily dissolved, by using an electrolytic method.

In the electrolytic dissolution method, platinum is dissolved by being electrolyzed in an electrolyte by use of the platinum as an anode. The electrolyte is a 8-11.5 N hydrochloric acid solution. The platinum electrode is dissolved while being applied with electric current with a current density of 60-100 A/dm2 at a liquid temperature of 60-80°C as an electrolyzing condition. The electrolyte further containing monoethanolamine as a complexing agent is preferable.
