PURPOSE: To provide an electrolytic dressing grinding method and device that is hard to cause any chipping and scratches and able to secure a quality mirror- finished surface.
CONSTITUTION: Voltage is impressed on an interval between a conductive wheel 2 and an electrode 3 as making a conductive fluid flow in space between this wheel 2 and the electrode 3, and thus a work 1 is ground as dressing the wheel by means of electrolysis. In addition, a bond material consisting of metal powder and resin and abrasive grains are mixed and heated and fused, forming the conductive wheel 2, and the work is ground as pressing the wheel to the work with constant pressure. Moreover, such a material as being hard to form a conductive film is used to this metal powder, the metal powder on a wheel surface is dropped off by dressing work and a recess hole (pocket) is formed on the wheel surface.
