Title:
ELECTROLYTIC REFINING METHOD FOR PRODUCING HIGH-PURITY TIN, AND APPARATUS THEREFOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3882608
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolytic refining method for obtaining high-purity tin, superior in a removal efficiency for lead in an electrolytic solution, and an apparatus therefor.
SOLUTION: The electrolytic refining method for producing high-purity tin comprises arranging a setting tank, a filter, a reflux tank, and a cooling tank, which are communicated with an electrolytic tank, extracting an electrolytic solution for tin consisting of fluorosilicic acid or mixed acid of sulfuric acid and fluorosilicic acid from the electrolytic tank, sending it to the settling tank, adding a carbonate of an alkaline earth metal to it, precipitating lead in the solution, cooling the electrolytic solution to prevent redissolution of lead, returning the electrolytic solution from which the precipitation has been removed, to the electrolytic tank, and electrolytically refining tin.
