PURPOSE: To execute a deodorization treatment by subjecting industrial water, household sewage and night soil to reduction washing with an alkaline reducing liquid while cleaning gases with the oxidizing acidic liquids in both electrode chambers generated by a diaphragm electrolysis in treatment of the industrial water, household sewage and night soil.
CONSTITUTION: Fig. illustrates the process of the electrolytic deodorization in a sewage treatment. An electric current of DC 50V, 2A is impressed from a power source K to an anode 3 and cathode 3 of the diaphragm electrodes from conductors 2, 2 in an electrolytic cell 4 and the diaphragm electrolysis is effected in this electrolytic cell 4. Further, the anode 3 is isolated and the alkaline water liquid of a primary electrolytic cell 4 is electrolyzed by the cathode 3 in a secondary electrolytic cell 7. Gaseous chlorine is blown thereto to form NaOCl. The electrolyte in the primary electrolytic cell 4 is introduced by a pipe 6 into a deodorizer tank 8 where the electrolyte flows down through a perforated plate 9. The malodorous gases of the night soil and sewage are blown from a pipe 10 into this tank and are filtered by a secondary filter 12. The gases deodorized by active carbon are utilized as oxidizing air in an aeration tank. Fermenting bacterial are sent from a tank 15, liquor spirit yeast, etc., from the tank 15 and sodium percarbonate from a tank 18 into the aeration tank 13 where aeration is executed for 8 to 10 hours.
