To generate alkaline ionized water and acidic ionized water at large flow rates by electrolyzing water and further to provide an electrolytic bath structure which exhausts no waste water.

In an electrolytic water generator which generates the acidic ionized water and the alkaline ionized water by an electrolytic both for electrolyzing water, a water passage in which water flows is branched into a first electrolysis water passage to which the electrolytic bath is disposed and a second water passage bypassing the electrolytic bath. When generating electrolytic water, flow rate in the first electrolysis water passage is adjusted below a prescribed flow rate by a flow rate adjusting mechanism and the electrolytic water generated at either one among two sheets of electrodes in the electrolytic bath is joined to the second water passage to adjust the electrolytic water to a desired pH.
