To provide an electrolyzed water making apparatus operated with a proper applied current value corresponding to an integrated current so as to bring the dissolved hydrogen concentration of electrolyzed water close to a target dissolved hydrogen concentration.
The electrolyzed water making apparatus is equipped with an electrolytic cell 10 receiving the supply of raw water, the electrodes 14 and 15 provided in the electrolytic cell 10 and a power supply 30 for applying voltage across the electrodes 14 and 15. Preformed characteristics for showing the relation of the test applied current value applied across the electrodes 14 and 15, the integrated value obtained by integrating the same and the dissolved hydrogen concentration at the point of time of integration are stored. The electrolyzed water making apparatus calculates the integrated current value of the current values each of which is detected at each time when the current value is detected from the start point of time of electrolysis and operates the applied current value on the basis of the integrated current value at the point of time of calculation, the preset target dissolved hydrogen concentration and the stored characteristics to electrolyze raw water on the basis of the first applied current value.
