Abstract:
To achieve an efficient septum electromagnet configuration.SOLUTION: An electromagnet generates a magnetic field for guiding charged particles that are accelerated and orbiting in the accelerator to the outside of the accelerator. The electromagnet has a septum coil part that is a coil whose axial direction is horizontal to a beam orbit plane including an orbital path of the charged particles, and a return coil part that is a coil whose axial direction is perpendicular to the beam orbit plane.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
