Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a laminated electromagnet device which can be excited with a high-frequency or pulse current of several 100kHz and can generates a high magnetic field of 1 Tesla by forming a core by repeatedly winding a magnetic band of an amorphous metal in the magnetic path direction.
CONSTITUTION: In this electromagnet device which is used in a charged particle device for accelerating, accumulating, or propagating a charged-particle beam and the core 13 of which is formed by laminating a magnetic belt 10 made of a magnetic substance, the core 13 is formed by repeatedly winding the magnetic band 10 made of an amorphous metal in the magnetic path direction. A C-type tape wound core 12 provided with a magnetic pole gap 11 is formed by winding a magnetic belt 10 of an amorphous metal having a thickness of, for example, several 10μm and coated with an insulating coat in the magnetic path direction and slicing the laminated body into pieces having a fixed width. Then a coil 4 for excitation is fitted to a fan-shaped core 13 formed by machining the end face of the core 12 to a flat wedge-like shape and piling up the core 12 in the locus direction of the charged-particle beam.
