Abstract:
PURPOSE:To simplify construction and prevent a so-called quarrel phenomenon in a unit where an electromagnetic clutch and brake are integrally mounted to a through shaft, by mounting a torque arm to the shaft and mounting cores for the electromagnetic clutch and brake in both sides of the torque arm. CONSTITUTION:A rotor 36 is mounted to a shaft 33 through a key 34, and a torque arm 38 is mounted to the rotor 36 through a bearing 37, then said arm 38 is mounted to a machine frame 42 by a bolt 39 or the like. An electromagnetic clutch field core 45 is arranged to one side of said torque arm 38 through a bearing 43 while an electromagnetic brake magnet core 47 to the other side, and they are integrally formed by a through bolt 48. Then an armature 53 is mounted to a hub 52, rotatably mounted to the shaft 33, and an armature 61 to a similar hub 60 respectively in an axially movable state, and each of the armatures 53, 61 is provided in such a manner as to be lightly contacted to the rotor 36 and the core 47 under a condition of no excitation for coils 44, 46.
