This device comprises a main clutch 7 and a control clutch 9 disposed between torque transmission members 3 and 5, an electromagnet 19 movably operating an armature 17 to engage the clutch 9, a cam 13 which when the clutch 9 is engaged, operates by receiving a torque between the torque transmission members 3 and 5 and connecting the clutch 7 via a pressure plate 15, and storage chambers 25 and 27 in the state of being sealed which store the clutches 7 and 9, respectively. Then, by the plate 15 and X-rings 21 and 23, oil is prevented from moving between the storage chambers 25 and 27, and oils appropriate to the clutches 7 and 9 are sealed into the storage chambers 25 and 27, respectively.
