To provide an electromagnetic clutch device, hardly causing magnetic attractive force to remain between a rotor and an armature even if the application of an electric current to an exciting coil is stopped in the electromagnetic clutch device in which the rotor and the exciting coil are integrated with each other.
This electromagnetic clutch device 7 includes: the rotor 40; and the armature 10 disposed opposite to the rotor 40. The exciting coil 20 is integrally fitted to the rotor 40, whereby when an electric current is applied to the exciting coil 20, the rotor 40 and the armature 10 are attracted to transmit the power of a motor 71 to a drum 72. As the component material of the rotor 40, soft magnetic material is adopted, which satisfies the expression: (Br/Bx)×(Hc/Hx)<0.03 where the saturation magnetic flux density is Bx(T), the residual magnetic flux density is Br(T), the external magnetic field exhibiting the saturation magnetic flux density is Hx(A/m), and the coercive force is Hc(A/m).
