Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the responsiveness of a thermal fuse in an electromagnetic clutch including the thermal fuse.SOLUTION: An electromagnetic clutch includes: a stator 30 having an opening 30a located at the friction surface 13a side of a rotor 10 and storing an electromagnetic coil 36 in an internal space which continues into the opening; a resin member 37 which closes the opening of the stator 30 and seals the electromagnetic coil 36; and a thermal fuse 35 disposed on a surface layer of the resin member 37 which is located on the friction surface 13a side of the rotor 10, the thermal fuse 35 which fuses at a temperature equal to or higher than a predetermined temperature to interrupt an electric current flowing through the electromagnetic coil 36. Recessed parts 40, 41 are formed at positions, which are located adjacent to the temperature fuse 35, on the rotor 10's friction surface 13a side surface of the resin member 37. The recessed parts 40, 41 form spaces at the positions adjacent to the thermal fuse 35 to secure a path on which radiant heat is easily transmitted.
