Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent failures due to elution of material, such as MIC (mineral insulator metal coating cable) and water passage pipe into a non-magnetic low melting material that is filled in a gap between MIC and water passage pipe for improving cooling efficiency, in a manufacturing process of and electromagnetic coil that consists of MIC, which is used in environment exposed to nuclear radiation.
SOLUTION: By using an alloy, which contains predetermined quantity of at least either copper or nickel as the low melting material, it is possible to minimize elution of the material. Further, magnesium oxide, having higher thermal conductivity than other oxide, is used as the insulating material of MIC, and metal sheath is applied thereon. With this structure, insulation of coil is secured, and high cooling efficiency and reliability can be improved.
