PURPOSE: To obtain a core which excels in productivity, economization and ensures operation characteristics such as rising response of magnetic force and temperature rise by constituting a laminated type electromagnetic core to be used for printer head, motor, small size transformer with the folded stacked layers of belt type steel plate.

CONSTITUTION: An electromagnetic core 10 wherein belt type steel plate is stacked through folding is engaged with an internal fixing ring 12 and external fitting flange 11. This core 10 can be manufactured by the following steps. Namely, a belt type silicon steel plate 10a which is a raw material is punched in order to form a groove in one side and is bent with reference to the center line (a) of protruded parts and the center line B of the groove. Next, the steel plate 10a having completed the bending process is compressed into the shape of W using a trapozoidally-shaped spacer and the inserted into the assembling jig 20. The ring 12 is engaged with the space formed at the center and the circumference is tightened by the flange 11 and then welded. An electromagnetic core can be easily manufactured economically while the excellent operation characteristic is maintained.
