CONSTITUTION: The pulse having the period in response to the reel rotating speed is generated with the rotating plate 1, Schmitt trigger circuit 3, and differentiation circuit consisting of capacitor C1 etc., to control the discharge control transistor Q2. Further, if the reel rotating speed is more than the specified value, the capacitor C2 can not be charged, the transistors Q3WQ5 are OFF, allowing to inhibit the switching of the control circuit 5 from electromagnetic to mechanical damping. Accordingly, the switching of damping by the circuit 5 is made after a given time after the reel is at the specified low speed at stop, preventing the inconvenience such as reversing due to the delay in the response of the damping switching reel rotation detector.
