Abstract:
PURPOSE: To maintain an operation as an electromagnetic flow coupler even when an exciting coil is partly damaged by dividing the coil into a plurality and providing them annularly along the circulating path of conductive fluid.
CONSTITUTION: Annular paths 8 are formed by dividing the annular gap part of an axial cylinder formed of the outer wall 1 of the path and the inner wall 2 of the path by conductive partition walls 3. A ring pole 7 is so disposed as to surround the outside of the wall 1. An inner pole 5 is disposed inside the wall 2. Further, one module A is formed by winding an exciting coil 6 on a U-shaped outer pole 4, and many modules are disposed circumferentially outside the pole 7.
