To provide an electromagnetic forming apparatus capable of detecting the timing of replacement of a forming coil.
In the electromagnetic forming apparatus having a forming coil 1 around which a tubular conductive wire 2 with a hollow part to cause refrigerant to flow therethrough at the center of the wire 2, a capacitor 3 to supply the current to the conductive wire 2, and a refrigerant tank 4 stored with the refrigerant fed to the conductive wire 2, a flowmeter 5 to measure the flow rate of the refrigerant is provided between the refrigerant tank 4 and the conductive wire 2. With the use of the flowmeter 5, degradation and breakage of the conductive wire 2 is confirmed from the reduction of the flow rate of the refrigerant flowing through the conductive wire 2, and the timing for the replacement of the forming coil 1 is detected.
