Abstract:
To provide an electromagnetic energy harvesting system capable of extending its life.SOLUTION: An electromagnetic energy harvesting system for converting body kinetic excitation into electricity. The system 1 includes a coil 2, a magnet 3, and a pushback magnet 4 fixed to the body. The magnet is connected to the body by an axial connection portion that allows the magnet to rotate about an axis of rotation distal to the magnet's center of gravity. The pushback magnet exerts repulsive force on the magnet, and causes it to rotate about its axis of rotation such that the magnet's center of gravity rotates away from the pushback magnet. The kinetic excitation of the body causes the magnet to rotate about its axis of rotation such that the magnet's center of gravity rotates toward the pushback magnet, such that rotation of the magnet produces an alternating voltage across the ends of the coil.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
