Abstract:
To inhibit variations of brake force and stably output the brake force.SOLUTION: An electromagnetic powder brake includes: a rotor fixed to a shaft; an annular yoke part which is disposed at an outer periphery of the rotor and houses a coil; and magnetic powder enclosed in a predetermined gap between the yoke part and the rotor. The magnetic powder is bound by magnetic flux generated by energization to the coil to apply brake force to the shaft. The yoke part is formed by combining a magnetic material part formed by a magnetic material with a non-magnetic material part formed by a non-magnetic material in a circumferential direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
