Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the clutch performance of an electromagnetic powder clutch by forming an amorphous metal layer through explosive molding on one or both of the facing surfaces of drive member and driven member. CONSTITUTION:Magnetic powder 28 is filled in a function gap 27 between a drive side rotary member or a drive member 1 and a driven side rotary member or a driven member 20. Both faces are covered with amorphous metal layers 1', 20' and secured respectively through explosion molding method. Because of amorphous metal layer of high permeability material having excellent magnetic characteristic, magnetic powder and the function face are bonded firmly under clutching, resulting in improvement of clutch performance.
