Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the current efficiency by constituting an integrated corrugated electrode plate consisting of a plurality of semi-cylindrical fundamental electrodes which are continuously arranged and connected to each other.

CONSTITUTION: The condition of the continuous arrangement of the fundamental electrodes for an electromagnetic propulsion electrode is expressed in the formula L1=α.R, where L1: the center-to-center distance of the adjacent fundamental electrodes of a corrugated electrode plate, R: radius of the semi-cylinder of the fundamental electrode, α: 2-3. Concerning the movable distance for the movable electrode II, the distance between (a) and (b) which is the distance for the electrode III on the movable side makes a parallel movement relative to the electrode I on the fixed side, i.e., the eccentric distance (e) is expressed by the formula: e=β.R, where (a): the center of the fundamental electrode of the corrugated electrode plate I on the fixed side, (b): the center of the fundamental electrode of the corrugated electrode plate II on the movable side. The value of β falls within 0 (truly opposite) and 1 (opposite in a deviated manner).
