Abstract:

PURPOSE: To compact a device at large and provide a highly reliable electromagnetic pump device by enabling the flow rate to be measured, without providing a special flow meter separately, using an electromagnetic pump.
CONSTITUTION: An induction-type electromagnetic pump device, which has a tubular duct letting conductive fluid flow and generates a progressive magnetic field by arranging stator coils where many insulating strands are bundled in axial direction on the periphery of the duct and connecting the respective coils in the axial direction, is equipped with an impedance calculator 11, which measures the terminal voltage and the terminal current of the winding and takes the ratio to seek input impedance, a converter 12, which converts the impedance into the flow rate of the conductive fluid, and an indicator 13, which indicates the converted flow rate.
