Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent liquid metal from being solidified, by preheating a duct of an electromagnetic pump to send out the liquid metal with high temperature melting point.
CONSTITUTION: An electromagnetic pump 2 is composed of a duct 7, reducers 10 taperedly formed in front and in rear to the duct 7, a coil 11 to excite liquid sodium, an iron core 12 to increase flux density, a casing 13, etc. Electrothermal preheaters 9 are provided to a suction pipe 3, a discharge pipe 4 and the reducers 10 of the electromagnetic pump 2. At the same time, a preheater is provided to the duct 7 of the electromagnetic pump 2 as a heating equipment.
