To improve the heat radiating efficiency of an electromagnetic pump so as to improve the performance of the pump by bringing laminated iron cores into contact with an outer duct or a casing so that the heat generated from the cores can be radiated to a conductive fluid flowing on the inner peripheral side of the outer duct of to another conductive fluid flowing on the outside of the casing.
Laminated iron core 7 are respectively supported by iron core fixtures 21 and the fixtures 21 are fixed by inserting the outer peripheral end sections of the fixtures 21 into dovetail joints formed on inner peripheral surface of a casing 14, and then, the inner peripheral surfaces of the cores 7 are tightly brought into contact with the outer peripheral surface of an outer duct 3. The inner peripheral surfaces of the cores 7 are brought into contact with the outer peripheral surface of the duct 3 by means of the fixtures 21 and plate springs so that the heat generated from a stator coil 10 and the cores 7 can be efficiently transmitted to the duct 3. In addition, the heat can be radiated into liquid metallic sodium flowing on the inner peripheral surface of the duct 3. Therefore, the heat radiating efficiency of an electromagnetic pump can be improved and the occurrence of temperature rises in the pump can be suppressed.
