Abstract:

To reduce noise by improving the structure of an electromagnetic pump.

A piston 20 abuts against an electromagnetic plunger 16 accommodated in a guide pipe 9 which is fixed in an electromagnetic coil 2, coaxial therewith, by springs 9, 21 through the intermediary of a cushioning material 5, and is reciprocatably supported. Accordingly, noise upon a bump between the electromagnetic plunger 16 and the piston 20 is eliminated while fluid blocks from flowing into through a gap between the electromagnetic plunger 16 and the piston 20 in order to stabilize the motion of a discharge valve 31, thereby making it possible to restrain occurrence of abnormal sound. The diameter of an intake valve 30 provided upstream of the piston 20 is larger than that of the discharge valve 31 provided downstream thereof, and accordingly, the diameter of a seat part 13a onto which a valve element 30b of the intake valve 30 is seated, is larger than that of a seat part onto which a valve element 31b of the discharge valve 31 is seated. Accordingly, the suction efficiency of fluid can be enhanced so as to reduce the degree of lift of the valve element 30b of the intake valve 30, thereby making it possible to reduce noise produced by the valve.
