To provide an electromagnetic relay with improved assembling workability of a compression coil spring and capable of eliminating operational failures.
In the electromagnetic relay 10 provided with a casing 11 with a fixed contact 16 fixed to a fixed contact housing part 13 and with a movable contact 17 in and out of contact with the fixed contact 16 in free movement; a bobbin 21 housed in the casing with coils 22 wound around a cylindrical coil-winding body part 21c; a plunger 26 housed in the coil-winding body part for moving the movable contact; and a compression coil spring 18 housed in a spring housing part 15, formed into a concave shape, at a position facing the movable contact of the casing for pressing the movable contact onto the fixed contact, a striking part 14b for the movable contact to abut against is formed at an opening end 15b of an opening 15a of the spring housing part, and the spring housing part is formed into a cone, concave shape tapering down, as going rearward from the opening end of the opening.
