PURPOSE: To enable molding process without damaging copper plating even if lubricant is not applied, by applying resin, where powder-form lubricants are dispersed, on the surface of a steel plate plated with copper, and specifying the range of quantity of resin coating thus forming an electromagnetic wave shielding material excellent in lubrication.
CONSTITUTION: Powder lubricants 5 are dispersed in the coating 4 of an electromagnetic shield material where the coating 4 of resin is made on the surface of a copper plate plated with copper, and the quantity of coating is put in 0.5-2.0g/m2. When the powder-form lubricants 5 are dispersed in the coating 5, part of the lubricants are projected from the surface of the coating, which protects the coating 4 in molding. Therefore, the coating is not cut, and it does not damage the copper plating. As inorganic matter of the powder lubricant 5, graphite, molybdenum disulfide, or the like is used, and as organic matter, fluororesin, polyethylene, or the like is used. If the quantity of coating is small, it can not cover the surface equally, and if large, spot welding property is marred.
