Title:
ELECTROMAGNETIC SOUND CONVERTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP11024668
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To utilize an electromagnetic sound converter under serve environment such as being high/low temperature, high humidity, and much dust despite of a thin structural form be generating reproduced sound of sound or noise signals from a vibration exciting force obtained from electromagnetic repulsion worked between the exciting current flowing in a first excitation coil and an excess current induced by a vibration plate.

An excitation device 70 feeds an exciting current to a speaker body 60 via an excitation cable 62. The exciting current fed to the speaker body 60 flows to an excitation coil via a lead wire and excites a magnetic pole so that an alternating magnetic force line modulated by a sound signal is interlinked with a vibration plate 10. Then, the vibration plate 10 receives an electromagnetic repulsion worked between an excess current induced in its interior and an exciting current flowing in the vibrating coil. The electromagnetic repulsion is constituted of three components, DC repulsion, a vibration exciting force corresponding to the modulation signal, and a vibration exciting force twice as large as the alternating voltage signal frequency. The vibration plate 10 is vibrated by the vibration exciting force corresponding to the modulation signal therein along with an elastic support means 20 so as to emit the sound.
