Abstract:

To provide an electromagnetic steel sheet with a semi-organic insulating film not containing chromium compound, free of deterioration of corrosion resistance and waterproofness, excellent in punching properties, and further excellent in TIG (tungsten inert gas) weldability.

This electromagnetic steel sheet is equipped with a semi-organic insulating film composed of an inorganic component and an organic resin on the surface, where the inorganic component includes a Zr compound, Si compound and alkaline earth metal compound, respectively in ratios in the dry film, the Zr compound (as ZrO2): 20-70 mass%, the Si compound (as SiO2) 10-50 mass%, the alkaline earth metal compound (as oxide MO, provided that M is Mg, Ca, Sr or Ba) 2-20 mass%, and the rest of the organic resin.
