To efficiently regenerate energy by a motor.
This electromagnetic suspension device has one member 1, the other member 2 presenting relative motion to the one member 1 and the motor M capable of restraining at least the relative motion. When voltage of a power source for supplying electric power to the motor M becomes a predetermined value or less, a load is generated in a regenerative area K capable of charging the power source by power generation of the motor M.
