To provide an electromagnetic suspension device for a vehicle and a method for controlling a motor of the same capable of improving both ride quality and controllability and stability at a high level by compensating for internal inertia force of an actuator.
The electromagnetic suspension device for the vehicle is provided with an electromagnetic actuator 4 interposed between an upper side of a spring and a lower side of the spring in parallel with a spring element 7 and driven by an electric motor 8, and a motor controller 17 calculating a displacement input to the electromagnetic actuator 4 and controlling the electric motor 8 to have optimum damping force in accordance with the displacement input. An actuator internal inertia force calculating step S3 is provided to calculate the internal inertia force fi of the electromagnetic actuator 4, and the motor controller 17 is constituted to be a means having an internal inertia force compensation control part compensating the internal inertia force fi of the electromagnetic actuator.
