Abstract:
PURPOSE: To make an electromagnetic switch compact and to reduce the number of its part items by enabling first and second arms to rock about their respective support points, and connecting the free end of the first arm to an armature which has an operating member working on the second arm. CONSTITUTION: A first arm 15 passes through a gap in a stator plate 11 along the leg 4 of a stator main body 3, and an armature 7 can project outside by way of the leg 4. The free end 19 of the arm 15 is shaped so that it can be coupled to the armature 7 in the form of a hinge. The second arm 16 also passes through a gap in the stator plate 11 along the leg 5 of the stator main body 3, and a pin 8 coupled to the armature can project outside through the leg 5. The arm 16 has a movable contact 24, which takes the form of, e.g. a conductive layer 22 covering the free end 21 of the second arm 16 and facing a fixed contact 23 and its end at the side of the arm 16 facing the stator main body 3. Therefore, a switch can be made compact and the number of its part items can be reduced.
