Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic tripping device for circuit breaker such that attracting force applied to a plate-like part of a movable electromagnetic piece is strong and an operation part of the movable electromagnetic piece is enabled to generate large force when the movable electromagnetic piece rotates.SOLUTION: A fixed electromagnetic piece 11 is provided with a pair of arm parts 11c, 11c which project backward, and a plate-like part 12a of a movable electromagnetic piece 12 is also provided with a pair of arm parts 18, 19 which project backward; and the fixed electromagnetic piece 11 and movable electromagnetic piece 12 are pivotally attached behind thermally-actuated elements 34 of the respective arm parts 11c, 18, and 19. The front rear-directional distance between the fixed electromagnetic piece 11 and the plate-like part 12a of the movable electromagnetic piece 12 in a dissociative state can be made shorter than before. When an excessive current flows, larger attraction force than before can be made to act on the plate-like part 12a. Further, the distance between a rotary shaft and the center of gravity of the movable electromagnetic piece 12 can be made larger than before, and when the movable electromagnetic piece 12 rotates, an operation part 8 can generate larger force than before.
