Abstract:

To provide a small electromagnetic two-step clutch which changes the combined condition of one rotating shaft and the other two rotating shafts electromagnetically.

An inner shaft, an intermediate shaft and an outer shaft are arranged from an center of a rotating shaft. An inside electromagnetic clutch unit is attached between an inner shaft and an intermediate shaft and an outside electromagnetic clutch unit between the intermediate shaft and an outer shaft. The intermediate shaft is shaped to have a large diameter part and a small diameter part on both sides of the radial direction side face. The radial direction face also serves as a friction engaging device where the amateur attached to the inner shaft is absorbed by the electromagnetic power. As for the domain which should form a magnetic circuit, the size is determined so that the cross section area of the domain which the magnetic flux penetrates is almost constant in order to avoid the saturation of magnetic flux. The mechanism, which controls the formation of the magnetic circuits such as a slit, is prepared at the part which should avoid the leak of magnetic flux. Moreover, a discharge pore of the lubricating oil is prepared near the amateur's adsorption face so that the friction force may be secured during engagement.
