PURPOSE: To permit the electric frequency control of a cartridge by winding an output coil around a york with induction coil having mutual inductance to the output coil.

CONSTITUTION: The cartridge is equipped with a pair of pole pieces 10a to form the specified operation gap G and the york 10 including the 10a around which the output coil 11 is wound. The induction coil 16 is also wound around the york 10 to form a mutual induction circuit which is electromagnetically coupled to the output coil 11, and also a pair of leads 16a and 16b led from the coil 16 is short-circuited each other and connected to an earth terminal. Thus, the electric impedance can be changed with the winding ratio of the output coil 11 and the induction coil 16, allowing the electrical frequency control of the cartridge without using a damper member 15.
