Abstract:

To provide an electromagnetic wave absorbent excellent in electromagnetic wave absorbing characteristic at a low cost wherein kneading property and moldability are superior when soft magnetic metal powder is kneaded in resin base substance, and a three-dimensional complicated form is molded easily by using injection molding method of high productivity.

The soft magnetic metal powder 14 whose aspect ratio is at most 5 is dispersed in thermosetting resin 12 whose heat resistance is at least 100°C, and the electromagnetic wave absorbent 10 is constituted. The powder is selected from among pure iron, Fe-Si alloy, Fe-Co alloy, Fe-Ni alloy, Fe-Al alloy, Fe-Cr alloy, Fe-Si-Al alloy, Fe-Cr-Si alloy and Fe-Cr-Al alloy. The powder whose average grain diameter shown by D50 is at most 100 μm can be used.
