To provide a thin electric wave absorber with good transparency which has no deterioration in electric wave absorbing characteristic by forming, on both faces of a dielectric layer which is made of transparent organic high molecules, resistance films which are formed of metal oxide, metal nitride, or a mixture of these.
On both faces of a dielectric layer 1 which is formed of transparent organic high molecules, resistance films 2, 3 which are formed from a metal oxide, a metal nitride, or a mixture of these are formed. It is preferred that a copolymer resin composite including metal acrylate, methacrylate, or both of them or acrylonitrile or methacrylonitrile polymer which is poled by electric field and a polymer of it is used for the dielectric layer 1. As for the resistance films 2 and 3, ITO, indium oxide, tin oxide, zinc oxide, or titanium nitride is used. It is also preferred that organic high molecule films or organic protective films 4, 5 are formed on the resistance films 2 and 3.
