Abstract:

To provide an electromagnetic wave absorption material that is thin, lightweight, and soft, and is excellent in workability while exhibiting a high electromagnetic absorbing performance, and to provide an electromagnetic absorption method therefor.

A first conductive element group 12 in a first conductive layer 6 has cross-shaped conductive elements 30 and rectangular elements 31, and the elements 31 are provided in a region enclosed by the elements 30 alignedly disposed. Electromagnetic waves that are incident from the layer 6 side are received by each element 30, 31 in the group 12 and are multiply reflected inside the region, and the electromagnetic waves are absorbed by a loss material, particularly a first loss material layer 5 that is an electromagnetic absorbing layer. The electromagnetic waves can be collected with high collecting efficiency by increasing a receiving effect to realize the group 12 with the elements 30 and the elements 31. Therefore, the electromagnetic absorption material that is thin, lightweight, and soft, and is excellent in workability while keeping the high electromagnetic absorbing performance.
