To provide an electromagnetic wave heating device, a sheath for heating used in the electromagnetic heating device, and a method of manufacturing ceramics, by using the same, capable of performing the flash heating without generating breaking and cracking by eliminating the difference between inside and outside temperatures of a processed member when the processed member is heated by using the electromagnetic heating device, and stabilizing a temperature raising speed of the processed member.
The processed member is surrounded by dispersing a material of high oxidation resistance and high dielectric loss into a heat insulating material used in a heating furnace, coating an inner surface of the furnace made out of the heat insulating material with the same, or placing the material between the heat insulating material and the processed member as a sheath, and the processed member is heated by electromagnetic wave.
