To provide an electromagnetic wave shield tape which can be easily mounted on an existing cable or the like, and that, can well carry out electromagnetic wave shield doing away with a gap between conductors, as well as a cable with the electromagnetic wave shield tape wound around its outer periphery.

The electromagnetic wave shield tape 1 is structured by laminating a hot-melt magnetic tape 5 made by filling a magnetic filler in a hot-melt material on a conductive mesh tape, and melting it for integration. Further, both end edges 3a of the mesh tape 3 stick out of end edges of the hot-melt magnetic tape 5. The electromagnetic wave shield tape 1 is wound spirally around a cable 11 from the vicinity of its one end so that an end edge 3a of the mesh tape 3 overlaps another, whereby, an outer periphery of the cable 11 can be covered with the conductor without any gaps.
