Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disconnection system of a sub axle of high reaction, capable of improving vehicle efficiency.SOLUTION: An electromagnetic connection/disconnection system including an electromagnet 12, includes a coil 14 and a coil housing 16. The system also includes a rotatable and axially slidable slide ring 36 located between the coil housing and a sliding collar 44. The slide ring has a radially outer surface and a radially inner surface. The sliding collar has a first portion and a second portion. The first portion is located radially inward with respect to the slide ring and defines a first set of a plurality of axially extending teeth 78. The second portion is located radially inward with respect to the first portion. A return spring is disposed in adjacent to the sliding collar. An output gear 82 having a second set of a plurality of axially extending teeth 102 for selective engagement with the sliding collar, is further included.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
