PURPOSE: To provide an electromechanical device to generate large output without increasing its size.
CONSTITUTION: A solenoid 10 actuates a control valve so that specified output pressure is generated as a function of a solenoid input electric current. Input pressure supplied to the control valve is regulated so as to give the desired maximum controlled output pressure regardless of the input pressure by releasing excessive pressure to a low pressure return circuit. Low controlled output pressure can be provided by forming a magnetic flux circuit in the solenoid by flowing an input electric current to the solenoid. The magnetic flux circuit moves shapes of an armature 20 and a pole piece 14 to give selectable output in dependence upon the solenoid input electric current regardless of movement of the armature 20 concerning the pole piece 14 and strengthened. It is possible to increase output provided from the solenoid of comparatively small physical dimensions and comparatively low cost by increasing a surface area of an air gap and increasing permeability of the air gap.
