Abstract:
To provide a damage protection structure for permanent magnet machines and connected AC systems by a counter electromotive force during over-rotation.SOLUTION: An electromechanical element includes an electrical terminal 101 for being connected to an external AC system, and a polyphase winding 102 including at least two polyphase winding portions 103 and 104. Each polyphase winding portion includes phase windings 106a to 106c, 107a to 107c each with a first end 109 and a second end 110. The polyphase winding portions are continuously connected to constitute chains 113a to 113c of the phase winding such that a first end of the phase winding of the first portion 103 of the polyphase winding portion is connected to the electrical terminal. Each of polyphase winding portions includes switches 114a, 114b, 115a, and 115b for connecting the second ends of the phase windings of the polyphase winding portion to each other. The number of turns of the polyphase winding can be changed by selecting a polyphase winding portion having a star point at the second end of the phase winding.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1a
