Abstract:
To provide an electron gun capable of improving the focusing characteristic of a cathode-ray tube by reducing the working area of a cathode, a cathode-ray tube equipped with this electron gun and having a good focusing characteristic, and an image display device comprising this cathode-ray tube and capable of providing a good image.
This electron gun is structured so that a portion of an electron emitting surface 21 of the cathode K, which faces on an electron beam passing hole 11A in a first electrode 11, stands close to the first electrode 11. The cathode-ray tube is equipped with this electron gun. The image display device comprises this cathode-ray tube.
